Neuartiger Mistelextrakt mit Betulinen

Für die Krebstherapie geeignet?

Ein neuartiger Triterpenhaltiger Mistelextrakt beweist in verschiedenen Krebs-Zellmodellen ein hohes antitumorales Potential. Gleich zwei Forschergruppen publizierten jüngst entsprechende Ergebnisse:
demnach hemmt der Mistelextrakt, der eine hohe Oleanolsäurekonzentration aufweist, das Wachstum von Maus - Melanomzellen  und wirkt ebenso bei akuter lymphoblastischer Leukämie in vitro und in vivo cytotoxisch. Der Effekt beruht offenbar auf dem Anstoßen der sogenannten Apoptose (gesteuerter Zelltod), die eine wichtige Funktion bei der Eliminierung entarteter Zellen hat.
